Irish government minister Simon Harris denied today lleaking info from cupboard and stated he is “very seriously” taking into consideration creating a grievance in opposition to the Sinn Fein TD who made the allegation.
Talking with the protection of privilege in the Dail this afternoon, Sinn Fein’s Matt Carthy claimed Harris experienced leaked information about the proposed appointment of Katherine Zappone as a UN envoy.

Mr Doherty made further claims about the leak as he questioned whether Mr Varadkar experienced educated Taoiseach Micheal Martin about the aspects.
“You supposedly confronted the senior minister accountable following a Fine Gael sting operation by just one of your junior ministers, can I question you have you shared the facts of that with the Taoiseach?” requested Mr Doherty.
Mr Varadkar responded: “What happened in the Dail yesterday was mistaken.
“What deputy Carthy did yesterday was an abuse of privilege, to make an allegation from the cupboard based mostly on rumour and no proof in anyway.
“I have no proof that that unique leak which you referred to was performed by a cupboard member and it wasn’t even accurate, it wasn’t correct, or at least wasn’t entirely appropriate and I’ve still to see any proof to that effect.
“But that didn’t matter to deputy Carthy.
“He arrived in here in any case, he heard a rumour, he abused his privilege as a member of the household to make an allegation against a different member of the home and I hope that the Committee on Strategies and Privileges will take a look at this make any difference.
